• • Kett Introduces the PQ5205 – A new single kernel moisture meter for seeds and grains.
    Kett is pleased to announce the introduction of the PQ5205 single kernel moisture meter. The PQ5205 provides additional calibrations over the PQ520. A total of twelve factory calibrations are available, using the ISO-712 drying method as the referee standard. The PQ5205 allows wheat, barley and rice producers and processors to not only obtain an average moisture but also a histogram of the distribution of moisture within a batch or field. This helps optimize harvesting and processing, allowing users to maximize profitability, productivity and quality levels. The PQ5205 retains the simple operation and easy maintenance capabilities of the PQ series. Many PQ systems are still in continuous operation after 20 years of use. The additional calibrations include parboiled rice, jasmine rice, sticky rice and other rice variations, providing an extremely versatile test station. The PQ5205 is for use in laboratory and near-line applications.

• • Kett Introduces the PR930 – A new handheld portable instant moisture meter for rice flour, wheat flour, rice kernels and wheat kernels.
    Kett is pleased to announce the introduction of the PR930 Portable Handheld Flour Moisture Meter. The PR930 adds to the calibrations of the PR920, providing a rice flour and wheat flour calibrations as well as a wide array of rice kernel moisture calibrations and wheat kernel calibrations. The PR930 uses the same small, battery-powered form factor as the Riceter, generally considered the most popular moisture meter in the world. Tests are simple to perform and can be conducted anywhere, even in the field. The PR930 portable flour moisture meter is for use in laboratories, near-line and in remote applications.

• • Kett Introduces the KB30 – A new Low-Cost Online Moisture Meter that provides Instant Moisture Measurement on liquids and solid products.
    Kett is pleased to announce the introduction of the KB30 Online Moisture Meter. The KB30 replaces the KJT30 and KTE30, generally recognized as some of the most cost effective online process moisture meters available. The KB30 improves on these instruments offering a stainless steel housing for better cleaning, and external fan for better cooling and measurement stability, and enhanced communications capabilities. At the same time, the KB30 retains Kett’s “smart sensor” technology, eliminating the need for external controllers and keypads, as well as Kett’s renowned optical stability. Finally, the KB30 interfaces with Kett Tracker software (as well as customer I/O) allowing existing customers to plug and play the new sensors on existing Kett installations. The KB30 is for use in online and inline applications. It can also be used near-line for static measurements.

• • Kett Introduces the FD660 – A new entry-level Moisture Balance that combines cost effective pricing with advanced moisture measurement features.
    Kett is pleased to announce the introduction of the FD660 Infrared Moisture Balance. The FD660 replaces the FD610, Kett’s entry level electronic moisture balance. Liquid and solid samples can be tested for moisture content in minutes at a cost-effective price. The FD660 provides many features only found in competitive systems costing substantially more than the FD660. It also offers a large 110mm diameter sample pan and 80g capacity to handle a wide array of applications. The unique organic heating elements provide two times the drying efficiency of halogen systems and seven times the life of traditional heat lamp systems. In addition, the FD660 has a pre-heat mode to improve measurement stability in test locations where the instrument is not continuously used throughout the day. The FD660 is designed for use in laboratory, near-line process and remote QA/QC applications.

• • Kett Introduces the C130 – A new Whiteness Tester Which Provides Instant Powder Whiteness or Purity Measurement.
    Kett is pleased to announce the introduction of the C130 Advanced Powder Whiteness Tester. The C130 replaces the C100, generally recognized as the worldwide standard for whiteness testing of powders and pellets. Powder whiteness measurements provide an assessment of sample purity, homogeneity and quality in many industries. Sample applications are starch whiteness, flour whiteness (wheat, rice, and other), sugar, salt, and calcium carbonate.  Through enhanced design, the C130 provides improved measurement precision and speed, allowing the company to further optimize their yields and quality. The C130 uses 59% less sample, 62% less energy and has a 48% smaller footprint than the C100. The C130 is designed for use in laboratory, near-line process and remote QA/QC applications.   Online whiteness meters are also available.

    Kett is pleased to announce the introduction of the C600 Whiteness Tester.  The C600 replaces the C300, generally recognized as the worldwide standard for rice whiteness testing.  Rice whiteness measurement provides an estimate of rice milling as well as rice purity and is used to control the rice milling process.  Through enhanced design, the C600 provides improved measurement precision and speed, allowing the Rice Miller or Rice Processor to further optimize their yields and quality. • • Kett Introduces the KJT270F – a Fiber Optic Composition Analyzer for Online and Inline Measurements
    Kett announces the release of the KJT270F. Using near-infrared reflectance (NIR), the KJT270F measures moisture, fat/oil, protein, sugar, ethanol, alcohol, starch, basis weight, coat weight/thickness and other organic substances during virtually any phase of manufacture. Measurements can be made on a process stream without sample handling or preparation. The fiber probe allows for access to spray dryers, fluid-bed dryers, pressure and vacuum vessels and other bulk processing and handling devices as well as being able to measure small surface areas such as extrusions and fiber lines.
